Taught Us

• Never say, "I'd like to" ...just DO it!
• Never turn your notes over. Slide the sheets out of the way.
• It's not a podium, it's a lectern.
• Never apologize for a mistake.
• Don't ask someone, "How are you?" Instead say, "It's nice to see you!"
• Make your gestures purposeful.
• Never thank the audience at the end of a speech. They should thank you!
• In the Pledge of Allegiance, there is no comma between "One nation" and "under God".
